This wire will work well for many low-voltage applications. This wire is not shielded but the wire insulation and outer jacket both seem very durable. This wire is rated for 300V and features the following marking on the outer jacket; 2464 16AWG 300V VW-1 I 16AWG 80C 300V FT1 GE LING

not bad pretty thin so I imagine you gotta be careful stripping it or it will prob cut the wire I got this because I'm doing a lot of wiring whether it's in my truck for car audio or inside for speakers or whatnot I always use the red and black wire and then I take like a sleeve and put a sleeve over it all To make it all black and uniform and this saves me time from having to put a sleeve over the red and black wires and definitely is a smaller footprint the sleeve that I usually put over the wire is like really fragile I usually end up taking electrical tape and wrapping it around the end otherwise it starts to fray and with this wire I don't have that problem it's not bad this one was like the cheapest price per foot I found with a quick look

I am using this to run power from the battery to the handle bar area on my DR650. It will power a usb charger and 5volt power supply as well as be used for switch on a couple relays being installed. It is perfect for my application because it will be run along the frame under the fuel tank. I took a razor knife and tried to slice sections of the jacket off and it is tough so i'm not worried it will rub through if properly installed. The 16 gauge conductors can carry all the current I require. A 16 gauge wire, this length, can handle about 9 amps maximum at 12 volts.

Plenty bright as you can see. Adhesive is lacking. I stuck them to 3M grey foam tape to be sure they don't come loose. None of the lights were faulty. All of them worked.

This is good quality copper in a fairly flexible, but very thick jacket. Wire is tinned copper so it looks like CCA or aluminum, but it s copper. It will readily take up solder, but the wire insulation isn t super temp resistant so probably not ideal for under the hood or high temp environments. You can see it starts to melt and bleed in the pics when soldering. Clearly states 80C on the jacket.
